Rachel Gil
Co-Director

Rachel joined Launch Generation as the co-director in 2019, managing programming, facilitating workshops, and establishing partnerships with select non-profit organizations. In addition to her work with Launch Generation, Rachel is a Director of Family Governance at Cresset. She works to develop and deliver curriculum in the areas of financial literacy, leadership, entrepreneurship and effective communication to multigenerational families. Rachel is also an active member of Cresset’s Giving Back Initiative.

Prior to joining Cresset, Rachel spent five years with Ascent Private Capital Management of U.S. Bank where she held product and project management positions with a focus on process development, change leadership and communication. In 2016, Rachel was nominated by her peers and named a U.S. Bank Wealth Management Elite Service Award Winner for her outstanding performance.

Rachel is passionate about educating and mentoring the rising generation and began her career in public education, teaching conceptual physics and biology in Houston, Texas. In her first year of teaching, Rachel was named New Teacher of the Year for her school. In her second year, she was asked to lead the Conceptual Physics Team, spearheading curriculum development and analyzing student performance. Upon moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, Rachel joined Wishbone.org, a start-up nonprofit working to close the achievement gap for low-income high school students. In her time at Wishbone, Rachel established all initial operating processes for the organization and supported 60 teens in identifying their passions and applying to, fundraising for and attending after school and summer programs that aligned with their identified passions and goals.

Rachel graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She enjoys reading, exploring new destinations and spending time outdoors with her husband and two children.
