With over 10 years of entrepreneurial experience, Niara Wright currently owns and operates her own creative consulting firm,The Wright Look Creative Consulting Agency, where she creates brand and social media strategies for small businesses. Niara has started multiple businesses including a lifestyle boutique, The House of Flair, and an online publication, NYOTA Magazine. Her time as a shop owner helped her to excel in other retail leadership roles such as the manager and creative director of 1776 Founders’ Market and assistant manager at Nordstrom. While managing 1776 Founders’ Market, Niara designed the layout of their first brick and mortar, created their yearly merchandising strategy and hosted multiple events for local makers and women business leaders.
As the assistant manager at Nordstrom (pandemic), Niara created the Social Sellers Committee, a focus group for Nordstrom sellers and stylist to learn how to use social media as a selling tool to boost sales burning the pandemic. This led her to partner with brands such as WildFang and Oncloud Running Company. During Niara’s time as Creative Director of NYOTA Magazine, she created the over all design and layout of the publication and after two years became the fashion editor. She has worked with up-and-coming stars from Disney Channel, Nickelodeon and ABC Family such as Skai Jackson and Marshai Martin.
Niara has been mentoring teens in entrepreneurial education for the last 8 years, and has been a returning team mentor with Launch Generation since 2019.
